About the Journal

The Journal of Integrative Leadership Studies (JILS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access publication dedicated to exploring leadership as a human experience rather than a position of authority. We believe leading happens wherever people influence, guide, and nurture others, whether in organizations, classrooms, families, communities, or personal relationships. JILS serves as a space for scholars and practitioners to investigate how people lead and how leadership shapes development across contexts and cultures. We welcome interdisciplinary approaches that illuminate the psychological, emotional, social, and moral dimensions of leading in everyday life. Our aim is to connect theory with lived experience, bridging academic inquiry and human practice. By doing so, JILS highlights leadership as an evolving process of learning, reflection, and shared growth.
